The short version. She MahJong is a free website for learning and playing American MahJong for fun. Play nicely, only post things you have the right to share, and understand that the site and its lessons are provided "as is" for education and entertainment. Everything you post publicly (club listings, forum questions and answers) is reviewed by a moderator and can be edited or removed.

The Site is a free tool to learn and play American MahJong: a guided tutorial, single-player games against computer opponents, private multiplayer rooms, a directory of local clubs, and a community question-and-answer forum. It is provided for education and entertainment only.
The beginner "card" of winning hands used in the game is our own simplified, original teaching aid created for learning. It is not the official National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card, and the Site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Mah Jongg League or any other organization. Official league rules and cards may differ, and house rules vary from table to table. Use the Site to learn the ideas — not as an authority on tournament rules.
The Site is family-friendly but intended for people 13 and older; if you're under 13, please use it only with a parent or guardian. By using the Site you confirm you can form a binding agreement or have permission to do so.
The forum and club directory are shared spaces. When you post, you agree not to:
Posting is anonymous, but to keep things safe we use anti-spam checks and briefly record the network address a post comes from. Every submission is held for review, and we may approve, edit, refuse, or remove anything, at our discretion, without notice. We aren't responsible for user-submitted content, and opinions there are the posters' own — always confirm club details directly before relying on them.
You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting a club listing or forum post, you grant She MahJong a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and share that content on the Site, and you confirm you have the right to post it. Don't submit anything confidential — approved posts are public.
Play fairly and be considerate in chat. We may end sessions, close rooms, or restrict access to keep games working and pleasant for everyone. Multiplayer rooms are temporary and may be interrupted or reset at any time.
Some links on the Site — including in the Boutique — are Amazon affiliate links, marked accordingly. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The Site's name, design, text, graphics, coach characters, and original beginner card are owned by She MahJong or used with permission, and are protected by law. You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial play. Trademarks and content belonging to others (including the National Mah Jongg League) remain their owners' property.
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Lessons and gameplay are for learning and fun and may contain simplifications or errors; we don't guarantee they reflect any official ruleset.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, She MahJong and anyone involved in producing it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site or from user-submitted content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the Site — which, for a free site, is zero.
The Site relies on third-party providers (for hosting, database, DNS and bot protection, email, and fonts) and may link to third-party sites such as Amazon. We aren't responsible for third parties' content, availability, or practices; your use of them is governed by their own terms.
We may update these Terms or change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. When we update the Terms we'll change the "Last updated" date above; continuing to use the Site means you accept the changes. We may restrict or end access for anyone who violates these Terms.
